As a Web Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for one of the key data sources for many web development domains within Coolblue. You will deploy tools such as dbt, Airflow, BigQuery and Looker to build robust architecture, data models and data processes (ETL) in our Google Cloud environments.

As a Web Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for our web analytics data processes and data model. You are the one who makes sure we have future proof web analytics data that supports decisions . You enjoy doing this

  • Building web analytics data models that processes efficiently and ensures good data quality, validity and is properly monitored. .
  • Help explain trends and anomalies in this dataset. An example of this is explaining a certain trend break in our most important metric ‘conversion’.
  • The regulations around cookies and tracking are constantly changing due to GDPR, you are responsible to make sure we can continue to make our business decisions based on web analytics data.  
  • You may work with a broad set of tooling such as dbt, Python, Airflow and BigQuery to write and automate the smartest logic.
  • You are the link between teams that rely on this data and the teams that make it technically possible to generate this dataset.

You recognize yourself in the following

  • A completed WO degree with a solid quantitative component, think Business Analytics, Econometrics, Economics, Marketing, Business Information Management.
  • You have at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • A passion for building data processes, and for analyzing data. In addition, you are proactive and analytical.
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL data pipelines. 
  • Specialist knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: SQL, Python or R. Do you know tools like dbt, Looker and Airflow? Those are even more pluses. And if not, we are happy to teach you
  • You live in the Netherlands.
