Development Manager

As a Development Manager at Coolblue you're responsible for product delivery and the growth of your development group, consisting of up to 8 development teams.

    Pros and cons

    • You make sure your teams have the right number of people and capacity to achieve the goals on their roadmap.
    • You’re responsible for recruiting, hiring, and supervising team members.
    • You coach, support, and guide Team Leads in developing their leadership skills within your Development group.
    • You monitor the continuous developments, best practices, and delivery.

After this meeting, you have a meeting with Jan, the Upsell & Select Domain Boss. The two of you discuss the scheduled roadmap for the next 2 quarters. This meeting reveals that the capacity within your Development group needs to be increased. Recruitment time!

During lunch, you go outside for some fresh air while exchanging thoughts with one of your Team Leads on the operational costs of an application. After lunch, you check the status of the applications in your Development group.

After a game of pool, you discuss the current candidates for the outstanding vacancies with Tech Recruiter Martijn. Finally, you have a Skype interview with a Brazilian candidate for the position of C# Developer.
