On what legal grounds do we use your information?
We have a ‘justified interest’ to look at your information. That means we’re allowed to use your information to see if you suit our culture and if you’re suitable for the vacancy. We’ll always keep your privacy in mind.
Who has access to your information?
We’ll only share your information with colleagues within Coolblue, if that’s necessary for hiring you or the application process. We’ll share your information with your potential manager, for example. The same goes for third parties that are involved in one of these processes. For example, the developers of recruitment software, or parties that provide a test for our applicants.
All employers that have access to your information via a Coolblue order will only use this information for the supplied service. These parties can’t use your information for other purposes.
Where will your information be stored?
We save your information in several databases, and we always use strict safety measures. Your information is almost always saved within the European Union. We like to keep things in the neighborhood. In the rare case that customer information is passed on to countries outside of the European Union, we’ll ensure that your privacy remains protected in the best way possible. This has been officially determined for certain countries. Some American parties are registered under the Privacy Shield, which provides sufficient protection. Or we work with official model contracts ,which are especially set up to safeguard your privacy.
How long do we store your information?
We don’t save and store your information any longer than necessary. We’ll store your information at least 30 days, but no longer than 3 months. Or we’ll use your information anonymously. There’s an exception if you give us permission to store your information in our database or talent pool for 12 months. Did a Coolbluer recommend you? We’ll save your information for 12 months to pay your friend the Buddy Bonus.
If we use your information anonymously, we’ll only use it for internal analyses and reports. For example, because we want to know how long a vacancy was open.
What are your rights?
You reign supreme when it comes to your information, of course. Would you like to access your personal details or receive a copy for free? Or do you want to change, delete, or limit the use of your information? Say no more. You can email us on email@example.com. You can also reach us on this email address if you want to indicate that your privacy is more important than our interests. In that case, we’ll reevaluate the situation.
Do you want to unsubscribe from emails we send you to update you on new vacancies? It’s done in the blink of eye: use the unsubscribe link in the email itself.
Don’t want any cookies at all? You can arrange that yourself too. You can read how to do this on our cookie page.
We’d really like to know it’s you. That’s why we can ask for additional information to determine your identity. We also do this when a request is unclear.
